Program

The MIPPA Accreditation Program (MAP) is specifically designed to meet the requirements set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA), which requires all providers who bill CMS for advanced diagnostic imaging (ADI) services under Part B of the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule to be accredited by a CMS-approved organization to continue to receive reimbursement for their services. RadSite's MAP program covers CT, MRI, PET and SPECT imaging systems, and includes a review of personnel, policies and procedures, as well as sample clinical images and phantom studies.

Standards

RadSite's robust accreditation standards are recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) as a way for advanced diagnostic imaging facilities to demonstrate they meet national quality requirements. The MAP accreditation program includes a thorough review of an imaging provider's personnel documentation, as well as policies and procedures. MAP also covers a thorough technical component review through the evaluation of sample clinical images and phantom studies.
